SEARCH Education Trust joins the nation in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Those of us who serve young people in schools will be marking the passing of a remarkable role model of service, given to others in a spirit of humility and respect for all people, cultures and traditions. May she Rest In Peace and may the Royal Family find all the support and consolation they need to sustain them through this difficult time.At school we will be marking Queen Elizabeth’s service and her extraordinary life through assemblies and lessons linked to our SMSC curriculum.
Dear Parents/ Carers
With the increased rise of Omicron Variant and consequent staffing absences we are working hard to make transport arrangements for your child/ young person.
Please be aware that over the next few weeks the following issues may arise
The safe transportation of your child between home and school remains out utmost priority and wherever there are changes we will endeavour to inform you as swiftly as possible after we have received notifications.
Under some circumstances we may have to cancel or rearrange existing arrangements, and this would always be a last resort, which we would discuss with you.
We will continue with our Covid Safety processes which include use of masks on transport where appropriate, drivers and escorts taking Lateral flow tests regularly and use of ventilation on transport.
During this uncertain time, you may wish to manage your child’s transport to school via a personal transport budget (where we offer financial assistance to transport your own child) if this is the case then please contact the transport team on 020 8489 2729 or School.Transport@haringey.gov.uk
With best wishes
Mary Jarrett (Head of SEND Services)

Following the government guidance regarding the new Omicron Variant, we will be re-introducing face coverings for pupils in year 7 and above. The expectation is for those pupils who are able to wear a face covering or can tolerate wearing a face covering follow the guidance and do so. This will only be in communal areas and it is also advised they wear face coverings on transport.
We will be reducing visitors on site and asking all visitors who enter the building to wear a face covering.
In the meantime, please can you continue to ensure you are regularly testing your child at home using the lateral flow device tests. If you require more, please do not hesitate to contact us at school.
The Grove Pastoral Team were thrilled to be awarded the NASEN 2021 Award for co-production with children and young people and their families.
We are thrilled and proud to have the work that we do at school recognised within the SEN community and by NASEN.
Working alongside families to support our pupils is central to our ethos and the impact of this work has seen many success stories over the last few years. We are looking forward to many more years of successful co-production work and continued support for our pupils and their families!
